The i2i Network is delighted to bring you a re-run of our two-part live streamed workshop to support the scope and growth of clinical pharmacist competence in the management of patients with NVAF.

Although the programme is designed specifically for GP clinical pharmacists, the live streams are open to any healthcare professional working in primary care. GP clinical pharmacists members will also gain access to our practical suite of practical implementation resources such as project tools, presentations for practices, checklists and so much more!

1. Understand the background to AF (Atrial Fibrillation) and core competencies in managing AF

2. Review the core treatment and management options for AF

3. Stratify your patients based on their risks; how to ‘protect and perfect’ current AF management in primary care in line with the NHS agenda on DPP (Detect Protect Perfect)

4. Work through a practical case study to help you to set up virtual AF clinics and consultations

1. Update your knowledge on the commonly used guidelines in AF

2. Learn the common patient-centred factors and considerations for choice of anticoagulation used in

   – patients with renal impairment

   – patients with hepatic impairment

   – elderly patients

   – other subgroups including patients with extremes of body weight

3. Work through a clinical case study to understand how to implement your knowledge into practice and evaluate your outcomes
