Training clinical pharmacists to better manage Diabetes in GP Practices

Our interactive workshops will combine expert speakers and sharing of best practice by our clinical pharmacist facilitators who are conducting Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus related services in their own practices.

These meetings have been fully funded by Napp Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

As a GP partner in a NHSE clinical pharmacist pilot practice, Trish also brings her expertise as a GP with Special Interest in Diabetes. Trish set up and conducted community clinics for the Hillingdon Diabetes intermediary care service and is passionate about training.

The workshop will focus on ‘insight’ in the morning and on ‘implementation’ the afternoon. The day has been structured to allow plenty of networking time and activities.

Morning (09:30 - 13:00)

Familiarisation with the use of practical tools and templates for practice pharmacists including clinical systems resources

Case Studies on helping practice pharmacists to manage change and effectively implement diabetes clinics using the i2i change resources and structure

Action planning on how you will implement back at your practice
