Virtual Workshops: Helping GP Pharmacists Implement QI for Patients with Osteoporosis

The i2i Network is delighted to be bringing you this two-part virtual workshop designed specifically to equip practice pharmacists to manage your patients with osteoporosis. The virtual workshops are however, open to any health care professional. This programme will focus on the potential role of the GP Clinical Pharmacist to implement QI to deliver better outcomes for patients with Osteoporosis.

These promotional educational resources and training sessions have been developed by Soar Beyond, are fully funded by Amgen Ltd, and are intended for UK Healthcare Professionals only.

The presentations and online resources have been developed by clinical pharmacists and a medical faculty chosen by Amgen Ltd. Dr Javaid is an adult rheumatologist specializing in common and rare metabolic bone diseases as well as Associate Professor in Metabolic Bone Disease at the University of Oxford

Dr Saj Sarwar is a GP Partner in Aston, a busy inner city practice. He is a GP trainer and mentor, working actively in the i3 Ladywood PCN and in Out of Hours Palliative care.

3. Treatment and management overview- primary care and secondary care

1. The opportunity for the GP pharmacist to stratify and prioritise osteoporosis patients and patients at risk of fragility fracture

2. Practical skills and competencies for QI including auditing, identifying and reviewing & evaluating priority patients
