In her university role, Sarah leads on the prescribing curriculum and has undertaken research and assisted MPharm students in carrying out research projects, a number of these have been in the area of diabetes. Sarah is well versed with maintaining the professional standards frameworks in her role of programme director at a HEA and implementing these at a local level as development lead and formerly as PCN lead pharmacist. Sarah has a special interest in and substantive experience of working in the area of diabetes and renal medicine and has been a lead in this area for a period of 6 years in her previous role in secondary care. Sarah is highly respected locally as an expert in diabetes, evident by her contribution to local networks and Sarah endeavours to continue to champion diabetes care and share her passion with patients, students and colleagues alike.
