RPS national board candidates announced

A TOTAL of 24 nominations have been received for the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) national board elections for 2018.

There are 14 candidates for the English Pharmacy Board contesting four vacancies. Voting in the English and Welsh Elections will open on April 30.

The candidates are:

  • Sultan Dajani
  • Jane Devenish
  • David Gallier-Harris
  • Thorrun Govind
  • Tohidul Islam
  • Hala Jaward
  • Asim Mirza
  • Hemant Patel
  • Stephen Riley
  • Paul Rutter
  • Aamer Safdar

There are 8 candidates for the Welsh Pharmacy Board contesting four vacancies. The candidates are:

  • Michael Curson
  • Janet Gilbertson
  • Jodie Gwenter
  • Rafia Jamil
  • Fiona Jones
  • Dylan Lloyd Jones
  • Helen Lewis
  • Cheryl Way

Two nominations were received for the four vacancies on the Scottish Pharmacy Board. Ewan Black and Anne Claire Boyter have been elected unopposed.

Election timelines are as follows:

  • 17 April, 7-8pm: Online hustings
  • 30 April: Voting opens
  • 18 May: Voting closes
  • 22 May: Results announced
  • 2018 Effective Dates:

English Pharmacy Board – 00.01am 20 June

Scottish Pharmacy Board – 00.01am 3 July

Welsh Pharmacy Board – 00.01am 19 June
