Carmen is an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist with over 20 years of experience across hospital, community, and primary care, including more than a decade in General Practice. After earning her Master’s in Pharmacy in Spain (2001), she built her UK career and holds a Clinical Diploma, Independent Prescribing qualification, and a postgraduate Diploma in Diabetes.As Clinical Lead for Long-Term Conditions at a 22,000-patient practice, Carmen runs clinics for patients with complex comorbidities and leads quality improvement projects in diabetes, lipid management, and CKD. She also contributes to strategic CKD initiatives through the Derbyshire Countywide Steering Group.A passionate mentor and diabetes trainer, Carmen supports pharmacy and nursing teams, promoting integrated, team-based care to enhance long-term condition management.
