Dr David Watson graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 1984 and has been a GP Partner at Hamilton Medical Group in Aberdeen since 1990. He has also worked since 2005 as a GP with an extended role in Headache in the Neurology Department at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. David has an interest in undergraduate and postgraduate education.
David chaired the project group that wrote the Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN) Guideline 107, ‘Diagnosis and Management of Headache in Adults’ published in 2008 and was a group member for the SIGN Guideline 155 ‘Pharmacological Management of Migraine’ in 2018. He has been involved in several Scottish national projects and pathways and is currently working with The Migraine Trust and NHS Grampian on a pharmacist education initiative.
