Batches of Ventolin Accuhaler and Seretide Accuhaler asthma inhalers recalled

#GPPharmacists are you actioning your MHRA drug alerts? How does this affect your patients in your surgery? Batches of Ventolin and Seretide Accuhalers have been recalled due to a manufacturing issue that has resulted in a small number of the devices not delivering the full number of doses.

Your to do steps:

Create a search on your clinical systems to capture all patients on these devices

Contact affected patients to inform them to return their devices back to their community pharmacist for replacement (if they have the affected batch numbers)

Keep your patients safe from medication harm!
