David Strain

David’s current research is focused on the non-glycaemic effects of incretin system and studying the vascular physiology of hypoglycaemia. He also runs a programme evaluating individualizing care in older adults with diabetes and the correlation between patients’ interpretations of their quality of life and that of their relatives in decisions about their health. He has been the global CI of multiple interventional trials and is currently chairing the steering committee of a global project in association with the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) called ‘Time 2 Do More in Diabetes™’ attempting to reduce clinical inertia in diabetes.
