Anna Murphy is a Consultant Respiratory Pharmacist at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and a Professor of Pharmacy Practice at De Montfort University. She provides specialist assessment, medicines optimisation, monitoring, and personalised advice for people with respiratory disease, working across both hospital and primary care settings.
Her cross-system role spans interface care and the development of innovative respiratory services across Leicestershire, supporting improved outcomes for patients with asthma and other respiratory conditions. Anna also contributes nationally through her work with several professional groups and organisations on prescribing and best practice in respiratory care.
A recognised leader in respiratory pharmacy, Anna has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, authored Asthma-in-Focus, and developed the widely used 7-Steps to Success education materials.
