Since January 2016, Bharat has been employed by Rushall Medical Practice as a Clinical Pharmacist. He also works as a Senior Tutor for the School of Pharmacy, Keele University and provides support to the Pharmacist Prescribing Course as a member of the Course Committee and as an assessor.
Bharat qualified as a pharmacist in 1987 and worked in community pharmacy for National Co-operative Chemists. He started working in 1995 on the IMPACT educational outreach programme in collaboration with Keele University. Bharat has worked as a practice pharmacist since 1996 and Locality Lead pharmacist in Walsall. He then became Head of Medicines Management, Walsall PCT in January 2007. In April 2013 Bharat secured the role of Head of Medicines Management and Primary Care for Walsall CCG.
