Jomy is a very ambitious and promising Senior clinical pharmacist qualified with MPharm in 2012, Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy Practice Secondary Care and Independent prescribing in the management of Heart failure from University of Bath. She is currently undertaking Advanced Clinical Assessment at University of Bath and Rosalind Franklin Leadership programme with NHS Leadership Academy.
PCN Pharmacy Leadership and setting up of ‘Centralised Prescription Hub’ for Portsdown Group Practice along with the development of high-risk drug and blood monitoring tool. Pharmacy team expansion including clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pre-registration pharmacy technicians. Jomy leads a team of 5 clinical pharmacists, 4 pharmacy technicians and 1 pre-registration pharmacy technician. She also runs CHD (Ischaemic heart disease, AF and anticoagulation, up titration of heart failure medications), Opiate deprescribing clinics, Frailty and Polypharmacy LTC (long term condition) clinics. Her clinical pharmacy team also provides Respiratory, Learning disability and Diabetes LTCs at Portsdown Group Practice.
Jomy is also the clinical mentor for her clinical team members (pharmacists and technicians) who are on their CPPE pathway. Her dedication to education ensures the rest of her time is taken up educating doctors, nurses, allied healthcare professionals and students within primary care. She has successfully set up pharmacy technician review clinics at her PCN and has a strong drive for PCN workforce development and integrated working.
