Rajiv Malhotra

He has a specialist interest in the management of patients with complex chronic chest pain, including refractory angina and contributes to patient education as part of the Liverpool Refractory Angina Centre. Rajiv regularly performs interventional pain medicine procedures covering all types of chronic pain, with a particular interest in the use of nerve blocks for the longterm management of arthritic pains.

In addition to his clinical work, Rajiv has completed a Masters in Medical Education and is the lead for anaesthesia and critical care training for undergraduates at Liverpool Medical School. He is the College Tutor at his hospital, and is responsible for organising the training of rotating anaesthetic junior doctors.

Rajiv works as part of a committee with the British Pain Society, and is leading on a project to develop patient education videos. He has lectured nationally on topics related to pain management.
