Shivangee Maurya

Having started her career at Boots Pharmacy and following completion of her Independent Prescribing qualification in Type 2 Diabetes, she moved into a clinical role as a Medicines Optimisation Care Homes Pharmacist. Shiv the took on the role of a PCN pharmacist and then lead PCN pharmacist. In her day-to-day role she completed clinical queries for practices, completed medicine reconciliations for patients post discharge, ran audits to help improve prescribing practices within the PCN, took part in clinical MDT meetings and delivered training sessions to help improve prescribing within the PCN. She also led on several successful projects including the mobilisation of the COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic, and the design, development, and mobilisation of a central prescription service for the PCN, alongside managing a team of pharmacists and delivering the PCN DES.
