Joining the Rushbottom Lane surgeries in Benfleet, Essex in 2017 as a practice pharmacist, Terry has progressed to perform additional roles as an ACP, practice prescribing lead and clinical lead for the local vaccination service.
Prior to this, Terry has 9 years of hospital-based experience, across a wide range of specialities including cardiology, stroke medicine and oncology/haematology, but is best known for his work in anticoagulation. Initially at Southend hospital, Terry worked with the local AF committee and stroke services to produce guidance for the implementation of appropriate treatment. This progressed to the development and published evaluation of a recognised anticoagulation service. Following this Terry took a consultant pharmacist post at Guy’s & St. Thomas’ to lead the outpatient anticoagulation service, which includes a pioneering multidisciplinary one stop AF service.
