I really enjoyed the DM2 session yesterday in Birmingham. It was really great day packed with helpful info for practice based pharmacists. In fact, it was the best training I’ve had since joining the GPPTP pilot. I have spread the word and shared my impressions with the practice pharmacists in my area and the CCG team. Thank you so much for all your hard work and support.
Excellent day! I’ve been on many study days recently and this has been by far the best as it was not only informative but highly practical. I now know where to start on my ‘diabetes journey’ in my practice. More please!
I’m really glad I went to the i2i Network Diabetes Workshop! It has been instrumental in empowering me to find a clinical area to own and take a lead on. I couldn’t fault the day, from the wealth of advice from inspirational speakers to the ABCDE structured approach to setting up long-term conditions clinics. I was able to gain a practical understanding of the preparation steps involved so that I could go to my GP with a clear plan and scope of patients to review. Motivated by this and my new support network of colleagues, I’m very excited to start running my own clinics in 4 weeks’ time!
This workshop will help me as a practice pharmacist to practically implement clinics and searches in the practice and use the resources on the i2i member website in practice in other areas (not just diabetes). It will also help me have an understanding of the practicalities in GP practice and help prove my worth. Please can we have more sessions – especially in asthma, COPD & AF!
This workshop has provided me with so much information and confidence- I have never learnt so much in ONE day! It was really well-organised and structured. [I feel] Privileged to be part of the i2i Network.
Really enjoyed the day, the support and effort that has gone into it. Very positive seeing a consultant pharmacist, felt it was explained with all relevance to us (pharmacists); very valuable.
The workshops were excellent as was the ability to talk to others. Presentations were extremely useful. Resources being made available will be invaluable.
I will start my diabetes clinic in April and with the learning today I will know how to better engage the whole team.
[The workshop has] Given me resources and ideas to increase my skills and professionalism. I feel motivated and energised – I was losing the will to live! It has reminded me to give more importance to planning – take a step back from the tension in the surgery.
